My wedding hairstyle !!!

Every bride dreams of having the best dress, makeup, shoes,hair and for most, the dream comes true. But for some, like myself, the dream turned into a nightmare!

If you follow me on my socials, you would have seen the hair I wore on my hen do. That was a trial for my wedding hairstyle. It turned out perfectly, and I couldn't wait to look that beautiful on my wedding day. However, the universe had other plans for me!

Firstly let me just mentio it was so difficult to find a hairstylist who could do fingerwaves. After reaching out to many stylists, I finally received a recommendation from a friend. The hairstylist also did my makeup, and I loved both the makeup and hair trial on the day of my hen do.

Skipping ahead a few weeks, I noticed that I had forgotten to confirm my appointment with the hairstylist. Upon contacting her, she informed me that she had made other plans as the day was not secured. Despite kindly accommodating me for my hair appointment, I found myself in a state of panic as I now needed to find another makeup artist. "That's a story for another time."

In any case, she was only available to style my hair on a Saturday, but my wedding was scheduled for the Bank Holiday Monday. Since I usually maintain very short hair, during the trial she suggested that I let it grow longer as finger waves would appear more stunning with longer hair.

Skipping ahead to Saturday! I was feeling a mix of anxiety, exhaustion, and excitement... all the emotions you could think of. Moving on, my hair is a platinum blonde shade, so the initial issue we encountered was that all the gel she had was tinted, causing it to stain my hair. Next up: my hair is naturally straight, and although she found a light blue gel, it wasn't strong enough to maintain the straightness, resulting in my hair curling. Additionally, my hair was a bit too lengthy and not cooperating. Lastly, she had a flight to catch, so she couldn't spend too much time experimenting with my hair!

The result!

I was left with bluish hair and finger waves that looked like they had just gone through an earthquake, lol! None of this was the hairstylist's fault, obviously, because she did it perfectly before.

Take away!

Ensure that when you are preparing your hair for a trail or referencing an inspiration picture, the color, texture, and length of your hair match your desired outcome. Any deviation in these factors can impact the final result significantly. If you are using an inspiration picture, make sure that these aspects align as well, as otherwise, your desired look may not be attainable.

I spent the remainder of the day driving around in search of a hair stylist, but unsurprisingly, I couldn't locate one. This further reinforced my belief in the necessity of this platform!

In the end, I ended up styling my own hair! It wasn't flawless, far from what I had hoped for or imagined, but I managed to find a solution!
