Hello Readers! It'a been a minute, I have been busy with the other platforms so let's try to catch on!
Events are costly, more so weddings! As a client myself, I have always wondered why that's the case, and the more I work with vendors, the more I am slowly understanding the reason behind the pricing. Not to say I still don't drop my jaw now and again.
Also, I've come across several vendors outlining what goes into their pricing, offering more transparency about their costs
and I believe to be very beneficial to both the client and the Vendor. Although some Vendors feel they shouldn't have to explain what's factored into their pricing as big company's don't have to! I would like to think of it this way...
So instead of thinking of it as "explaining your pricing" think of it as educating your client.
Many people are not exposed and have little to no knowledge about the events industry. It's not an industry one has regular contact or interaction to, until their services are required and lets face it, we don't get to plan events everyday, hence why sometimes as client's we find the prices rather unsettling upon hearing them and often we start to question and possibly make offensive remarks ....
Therefore l, instead of thinking of it as
"explaining your pricing" think of it as educating your client, building confidence, establishing trust and potentially earning a valuable client!
I hope this helps!
Until next time!
